Assessment is not hype, I was told recently.

Assessment is indeed not hype. In fact, the opposite is true. While the active building side of software engineering captures the entire spotlight, assessment is quietly sitting in the back seat continuously consuming resources.

Assessment is not hype. It just costs a lot. Silently.
