Assessment misunderstandings

Most often, when I say assessment, people understand analysis.

And, by analysis, people understand metrics.

And, by metrics, people understand code metrics.

And, by code metrics, people understand generic code metrics.

And, by generic code metrics they understand lines of code. And sometimes, they might also understand cyclomatic complexity.

But, there are many generic metrics out there beside lines of code and cyclomatic complexity.

And, there are more metrics than those pure generic code metrics.

And, there are certainly more analyses than metrics.

And, assessment is in a completely different game.
