The Moose Apprentice course - day 1
The first day of the Moose Apprentice course is now over.
We:
- jumped head first right into querying,
- used various browsers,
- learnt Smalltalk on the way,
- mapped a couple of problems on queries,
- learnt about FAMIX,
- dived quickly into meta-modeling,
- searched FAMIX to find useful navigation schemes,
- extended FAMIX with a custom query,
- used the custom query to simplify detections,
- played with Mondrian to build several visualizations,
- extended them with interaction,
- noted that analysis is nothing but data transformation,
- constructed nested views,
- extended FAMIX with views,
- learnt about how this tooling fits in the humane assessment method, and
- had fun in the process.
All in all, exciting. I am looking forward to the second day.
